I was childhood friends with Andrew. I recently moved back to Delaware and heard this news. My deepest sympathies to the Elwood family. I am sad that I won't be able to reconnect with Andrew and hear his memorable laugh again.

I met Andrew while working at Fresh Start. He always had me smiling and laughing even when things were supposed to be serious. I was thinking about Andrew a couple of weeks ago before I even knew he had passed away. From time to time he was always on my mind. My thoughts and prayers to Andrew's family. May he rest in peace.

I know it can be very hard to lose someone in death, but please be assured that our Creator did not intend for this to be our eventuality. He inspired in his word the Bible this hope at John 5:28, 29: “Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment.” That will be wonderful to see our loved ones again but without sickness. Hi Larry and Patricia, I was so sorry to hear about Andrew. He was way too young to have left this earth, although I know that he is in a better place. I can remember how we so enjoyed Andrew. Red Clay Presbyterian Church was the first time we met Andrew. All of those great plays that Quinn and Andrew were in. They were all so fabulous. And then the time that Andrew went to the beach with our family. How he helped my dad with the fencing on the dune. He was so kind, compassion and caring towards others.
