Krienen, III – President – Owner Bill was born and raised in Wilmington and has resided in New Castle for the past 30 years. He is a 1977 graduate of the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. Bill grew up in the family business and is very proud to guide it through its third generation. He has held a Delaware Funeral Director’s License for nearly 40 years and holds a Delaware State Insurance License for pre-arranged funerals. Bill has been married to his wife, Mary Kay, for 33 years and he has two children; Maureen a student at the University of Delaware and Will who is about to enter Salesianum High School. He served as a President of the Delaware State Funeral Director’s Association from 2005 to 2007; and Delaware Policy Board Representative to the National Funeral Director’s Association from 2001 to 2004. He is currently a member of the State of Delaware Department of Health and Social Services (Mass Fatality Task Force). Following the horrific events of September 11th Bill was honored and humbled to participate in the nationwide effort by the National Funeral Director’s Association to assist the New York City Medical Examiner’s Office caring for the families and victims of this tragedy and spent two full weeks assisting at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner of NYC. Bill has been an active member of the St. Peter the Apostle R. C. Church in New Castle since 1983. He served on the “Restoration 2000 Committee”, an effort to restore one of the oldest Catholic Churches in the nation. He has been an active Board Member and Coach in the St. Peter’s Athletic Association since 1996. Bill has been a proud member of the Good Will Fire Co. #1 since 1983. |
